Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma recently became parents to their second child—a baby boy who has been named Akaay. The couple announced this on social media, issuing a joint statement that reads: “With abundant happiness and our hearts full of love, we are pleased to inform everyone that on 15th February, we welcomed our baby boy Akaay & Vamika’s little brother into this world!

“We seek your blessings and good wishes in this beautiful time in our lives. We request you to kindly respect our privacy at this time. Love & Gratitude, Virat & Anushka,” the couple added.

International debut

 

Virat Kohli made his international debut for India in August 2008 during an ODI match against Sri Lanka. He came in as a replacement for the injured Virender Sehwag and went on to score 12 runs in his very first match. This moment marked the beginning of Kohli's journey as one of India's most prolific cricketers.

 

First Test century

 

In 2011, Kohli scored his maiden Test century against Australia in the fourth and final Test of the series in Adelaide. His innings of 116 runs showcased his ability to perform in the longest format of the game and laid the foundation for many more centuries to come in his Test career.
