Be it Bollywood or business, women are breaking the glass ceiling everywhere. Hurun India’s list of the richest self-made women in India, revealed yesterday reaffirms the same. While the list sees a couple of new entrants in the form of Confluent’s Neha Narkhede and OfBusiness’ Ruchi Kalra, some of the heavy-weights even clocked triple-digit growths in their net worth. Here’s a closer look at how much wealth India’s top 10 richest self-made women have amassed.

Falguni Nayar

59-year-old Nykaa founder Falguni Nayar is the first on this list. She founded this company in 2012 and today her net worth is reportedly Rs 57,520 crore. According to the report, her wealth has grown by 963%. Along with this, she is also the second richest woman in India.

Kiran Mazumdar Shaw

69-year-old Kiran Mazumdar Shaw has taken Bengaluru’s Biocon Limited’s success to the next level. The company she founded in 1978 has helped her amass a net worth of Rs 29,030 crore today. She is currently the executive chairperson and has been felicitated with awards like the Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan.

Radha Vembu  

Radha Vembu owns a majority stake in Chennai-based IT company Zoho. This 49-year-old’s net worth today is Rs 26,260 crore. She co-founded this company in 1996 with her brother Sridhar Vembu.  She has a degree in industrial management from the Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai.  

Neha Narkhede  

Founded in 2014, 38-year-old Neha Narkhede’s Confluent is giving competition to a lot of biggies like Amazon and Google. She is a technology entrepreneur and has also co-created Apache Kafka. Her net worth stands at Rs 13,380 crore. 

Neerja Sethi 

Founder of Atos Syntel, Neerja Sethi works in the IT and business services sector. Residing in Fisher Island, her net worth is Rs 5,750 crore. She co-founded this company with her husband Bharat Desai in 1980 in their apartment in Michigan.  

Indra Nooyi

Ever since Indra Nooyi was announced as the CEO of PepsiCo, she has been a common name on lists like these. Today her net worth is Rs 5,040 crore.

Divya Gokulnath  

BYJU’s co-founder being on this list definitely reflects the company’s meteoric rise in the recent past. Her net worth stands at Rs 4,550 crore. Along with her husband Byju Raveendran, she co-founded this company in 2012 and since then with developments and changes, her company has become one of the leading firms in the ed-tech sector.  

Ruchi Kalra  

In March 2022, Ruchi Kalra and her husband Asish Mohapatra hit the headlines as they became the first Indian couple who earned their startups OfBusiness and Oxyzo Financial Services a tag of Unicorn. This means that its evaluation is more than $ 1 billion. Meanwhile, her personal net worth is Rs 2,600 crore. 

Ambiga Subramanian  

After Ambiga Subramanian left Mu Sigma in 2016, she started investing in films like Box8, CarterX, Innov8, etc. Her net worth is Rs 1,830 crore.  

Vidhya Vinod  

CEO of Study World Education Holding Group, Kannur’s Vidhya Vinod now resides in Dubai. This 44-year-old’s net worth is Rs 1,700 crore. She started her business in 2012 in UAE itself and has founded many subsidiary organizations as well. She started off has a lecturer and then ventured into entrepreneurship.
