16-Year-Old Manu Bhaker Clinches Shooting Gold With Record Performance

The prodigy has emerged as a medal prospect for the 2020 Olympics

Manu Bhaker, all of 16 years old, won the women’s 10m air pistol event at the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast City this morning. She broke the Games record with an immense performance, scoring a total of 240.9 points.

 

Compatriot Heena Sidhu claimed silver with a total of 234 points. The Indian duo exercised a sizeable lead over the competition, as Australia’s Elena Galiabovitch only managed 214.9 points in her third place finish.
