The 2018 FIFA World Cup kicks off on June 14, as 32 national teams will battle for supremacy in Russia. And while it will be all about winning, some will certainly be aiming to do so in style. At least their kits, which were revealed in the build up to the tournament, suggest so.

As fans, we’re sure you’d want to extend support to your favourite teams by purchasing their kits. For the neutrals, we’ve glossed over all 64 home and away uniforms and chosen the top 10 kits to help you out with the selection.

Nigeria Home

Kit maker: Nike

No. 1 on our list has to be Super Eagles’ home kit, which is inspired by the 1994 kit. Manufactured by Nike. It features a black and white wing pattern on the shoulder sleeves. The overall aesthetic of the kit is designed to fit in with the current squad, which Nike describes as “Audacious. Fast. Fun. Stylish.” The home kit gained so much popularity that it sold out minutes after it was launched.

France Away

France’s away shirt pays homage to the nation’s flag with a subtle red and blue hyper-speckle knit that runs throughout the white shirt. Not that we didn’t like the home jersey, just that this one was much cooler.

Germany Home

The shirt, which is predominantly white, is inspired by the country’s 1990 kit. The iconic red, black and orange pattern running across the shirt has been replaced by a similar pattern in three different black/white stripe variations. The collar has the words “Die Mannschaft,” which means “The Team” on the neckline. A gold World Cup winner badge is on the front of the jersey for the defending champions.

Croatia Away

The jersey’s black and midnight color palette is a reference to the team’s traditional role as dark horses in the tournaments. The captain and Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modrić describes the kit as “daring, confident and tough.”

Japan Home

The Japanese shirt has elements from the country’s street wear culture, and is a changed version of their 1991 jersey. The kit has a new version of blue, with hints of red and white to represent the national flag. The stand-out feature of the jersey is the white pattern that runs across the front.

Described by Nike as being “inspired by the fresh-thinking, modern Korean attitude,” the World Cup kit is based around the colors of the Korean flag. The predominantly white jersey features a custom blue and white wave pattern designed to reflect South Korea’s global influence.

Peru Home

Peru has one of the most instantly recognisable shirts in world football with its striking red sash and gold trimming on the shoulders, making the kit an instant classic.

Portugal Home

Nike’s Portugal shirt follows the retro design trend with a few flashes of gold, a reference to the country’s 2016 victory in Paris. The gold element really pops out with the red shirt giving the jersey a dynamic look.

Iceland Home

Iceland makes its World Cup debut wearing Italian sportswear brand Erreà. The design is a basic ultramarine blue on the body, has an interesting white, red and blue effect along the shoulders and sleeves. The kit is interesting considering it is Iceland’s fist time.

Senegal’s shirt is primarily white, with contrasting green detailing around the collar and along the sleeves. It is a stand out jersey with a large drawing of a lion in traditional Senegalese style (a reference to the teams “Lions of Teranga” nickname), which lies across the chest.
