Deepak Kumar clinched India’s third medal at Asian Games 2018, winning silver in the Men’s 10m Air Rifle event

Following Team India’s first gold medal on the opening day of the Asian games 2018, Deepak Kumar fetched a silver in the Men’s 10m Air Rifle event on Day 2.
It takes the country’s total medal tally at the Games to three, after wrestler Banjrang Punia’s Day 1 win and a bronze medal for shooters Apurvi Chandela and Ravi Kumar in the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team event.
Elsewhere, Vinesh Phogat from the famous Dangal family ensured a medal for her country by reaching the 50kg women’s wrestling final. She will take on Japan’s Yuki Irie in the summit clash.
The Indian women hockey team also raised hopes for a podium finish after dismantling home team Indonesia 8-0 in the opening game.
