This hotel is a vintage Boeing 727 aeroplane that is refurbished into a two bedroom suite. It is located in a coastal rainforest and offers luxuries like 3 cliff-side pools, sundecks, and other room options. The hotel is perched 50 feet above ground, overlooking the magnificent Pacific Ocean and the vast rainforest.

Das Park Hotel, Linz, Austria

Das Park Hotel is constructed from repurposed and tough drain pipes. Underneath the simple looking exterior of the pipes lies a full headroom, double bed, storage, light, power, blanket and light cotton sleeping bag. Other necessities like toilets, showers, a café and minibar are provided albeit not inside the pipes. 

Gamirasu Cave Hotel, Turkey

You can now sleep in a cave where once the monks slept! The cave used to be a Byzantine monastic retreat that is about 1,000 years old.

The Dog Bark Park Inn, Idaho, USA

This bed and breakfast owned by chainsaw artists is located inside a 12-foot beagle. To enter the inn you need to enter the beagle’s body through the second-storey deck. It can accommodate up to 4 guests and is definitely pet-friendly.

V8 Hotel, Stuttgart, Germany

One for the car fanatics! All rooms in this hotel are themed around the automobile. The rooms also offer features like vintage cars, racing paraphernalia and drive-through cinemas.

Hotel Marqués De Riscal, La Rioja, Spain

This hotel is architect Frank Gehry’s first and only hotel project located in Elciego. Similar to his other projects, this structure too is avant-garde. It has huge titanium ribbons that stand out in contrast to the surrounding vineyard. It also has a separate spa wing.

Inntel Amsterdam Zaandamn, Amsterdam, Netherlands

The front wall of this hotel is made up of almost 70 stacked houses right from labourers’ cottages to townhouses. It is inspired by Amsterdam’s local history and the vibe given out by it matches just that. There’s also a spa with a pool, Turkish steam bath and Finnish sauna.

Built on the hillside of the Arctic Circle is a resort with cubic chalets that allow you to have your comfort and also give you a great view of the Northern Lights.

Crazy Bear, Beaconsfield, UK

The unique rooms of this hotel are inspired by Moulin Rouge, Las Vegas and planet Mars.  The unusual features include a staircase decorated with foliage painted in 24-carat gold leaf, Persian pony skin on the walls of the bar, dripping chandeliers, a creepy mirrored chill-out room and toilets that are deliberately unmarked.

Giraffe Manor, Nairobi, Kenya

This hotel harks back to the 1930s when European visitors first came to Nairobi to enjoy safaris. The popular attraction of this place is the friendly herd of Rothschild giraffe that lives on that land and occasionally pokes their long necks through windows.
