I am content and really happy at the moment, but, physically, I know I need to break boundaries to reach new levels of fitness. That is my current goal.

What’s the one thing that every man should know about women?
When you are in the firing line, don’t interrupt her.

What’s your principal defect?
There are many, but I often think I am pretty poor at communicating.

What word do you abuse/overuse the most?
‘Of course’ and ‘yes’. I also think I need to learn to say no as much as I say yes.

If you had a chance to be some other living person, who would you be?
I love being John Abraham.

What skill do you think every man should have?
To be able to communicate well. At the end of the day, most men can’t communicate effectively.

What is the single most important thing that changed your life?
My upbringing. My parents are honest people and they stressed on the importance of education. The combination of the two has helped me to get to where I am today.

What has been your greatest extravagance?
It has got to be travelling first class in an airplane. I feel that it is uncalled for. Everyone should fly on the same tier, and I wish I could start leading by example.

What personal resolution do you break most often?
I don’t break any resolutions that I make.

What is your biggest regret?
I wish I had learnt to play a musical instrument. I also, sort of, regret not learning a foreign language, and not taking my passion for football to another level.

Is there anything that you fear?
I don’t fear death or failure.  If there’s something I fear on a deeper level, it is success. It makes you complacent.

What, according to you, is the most overrated virtue?
Honesty is one of the most overrated virtues because, we are never really honest to ourselves.

One experience you want to have before you die?
An out-of-body-experience.

What are you searching for?
I am always looking for something that I don’t really need, and this always keeps me unhappy, or not as happy as I should be. Even though I may come across as content, I am searching for something to take me to another level. This is good in a way, and, also, not so good in many ways.

What’s your favourite place on earth?
I love riding on a long, clear stretch of road. It could be anywhere — the Pacific Coast Highway or Route 66 or somewhere in the Himalayas.

What irritates you the most about life/other people?
I can’t stand it when people lie. As much as I feel that honesty is the most overrated virtue, there are some people who take that too seriously.

What would you like your epitaph to read?
He was a simple man who led a simple life.

What’s your idea of perfect happiness?
It’s an idea.

What is your earliest memory?
When I was about one, I lived in Bhandup (a Mumbai suburb).  I recently had a flashback of my house, right down to the position of the bed and the entrance of the house. I want to go back and see if it is indeed the way as I remembered it.

What is your most cherished possession?
My family. I may love my bikes, but I cherish and hold my family very close to myself.
