A couple of Porsches, a 5-series and a G63 AMG

Actor, singer and online banter enthusiast, Diljit Dosanjh turns 38th today. Did you know, just like his clothes, the Udta Punjab star is a collector of high-end luxe wheels too? Let’s take a quick look at his garage.

Porsche Cayenne (Rs 1.92 crore)

Porsche Cayenne and Bollywood – a better love story than most of the mainstream movies today. It is no secret that Bollywood stars have a fondness for Porsches, particularly the Cayenne. Actors like Amitabh Bacchan, Priyanka Chopra Jones, Daler Mehendi (he owns a gold-plated one!) and, of course our birthday Diljit.

The German SUV comes packed with the necessary comforts such as a large infotainment centre, cruise control, voice control, dual-zone climate control and of course, a 10-speaker audio system. After all, how else is going to listen to his tunes?

Porsche offers the Cayenne in three engine options – a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 (340PS/450Nm), a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 (434PS/550Nm) and a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 (550PS/770Nm).

Porsche Panamera (Rs 1.89 crore)

Diljit seems to be particularly fond of Porsches. Of course, we don’t blame him. The second entry on our list is the Porsche Panamera, a true performance-oriented luxury sedan. Be it Mumbai traffic or the Expressway, throw whatever at it and it’ll handle it like a champ. Heck, it was the fastest executive sedan around the (in)famous Nürburgring, looping the track in just 7 minutes and 29.81 seconds.

The German automaker currently offers it in four variants – the base model, Panamera GTS, Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid and the Panamera Turbo S. The top-of-the-line Turbo S packs a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, which churns out 630PS of power and 820Nm of torque. This translates to 0-100kmph covered in 3.1 seconds, and a top-speed of 315kmph.

BMW 520D (Rs 61.48 lakh)

Apart from the Porsches, Diljit is also the owner of a 5 Series BMW, specifically the 520D Luxury Line. Creature comforts here include all of the good stuff like a 12.3-inch i-Drive infotainment system, lane-keeping assist, lane changing assist, an optional parking assistant with a 360-degree camera, and an additional reversing assistant function.
Powering the car is a 2-litre engine, which produces 190PS of power and 400Nm of torque.

Mercedes G63 AMG (Rs 2.44 crore)

If there was anything subtle about Diljit Dosanjh, it wouldn’t be his car collection, and it certainly wouldn’t be the G63 AMG in particular. Looking like a ride taken straight out of a Mafia movie, the G63 AMG always gets the heart revving of enthusiasts.

Some of the standard features on offer here include an electrically-adjustable driver’s seat with memory function, heated front and rear seats and luxury front head restraints. Of course, they’re all covered by a boat-load of leather, wood and metallic bits.

But don’t be fooled by its appearance. The G63 gets comes packed with a 4.0-litre bi-turbo AMG V8, producing 585PS and a staggering 850Nm of torque. It can sprint from 0-100kmph in just 4.5 seconds. No, we’re not kidding.
