As if Mumbai didn’t have enough happening on its bustling streets already, BMW and PUMA came together to give the city an additional dose of thrill.

BMW’s youngest ever DTM champion, Marco Wittmann was in the city to experience it in all its glory and take in its street culture. PUMA, who have had a long-grown motorsport legacy with BMW, released a video capturing Wittmann’s experiences. Actress Shibani Dandekar hitched a ride with Wittmann during his tour of Mumbai and explored everything the city had to offer. From walking through the narrow gullys of Chor bazaar, to zooming on the wide Bandra-Worli sea link in a BMW M3, the duo truly explored every facet of Mumbai as a city. 

On his visit, the racer also interacted with the city’s BMX pros, local rappers and beatboxers who all heavily contribute to the urban versatility of Mumbai. He also spent half a day discussing everything BMW with founders and members of Throttle 97, Mumbai’s own car-crazy community. 

Talking about the video, Witmann said “This was my first visit to India and I have to say everything about it was just spectacular and mega. Shooting this video was so much fun, with all the exploring I saw some amazing parts of Mumbai city – in a neat BMW at that! PUMA made it possible for me to see Mumbai in many unique ways and I am thrilled they could make this happen. PUMA has had a long legacy with motorsports and through this video I hope to build a real connect with motorsport fans in the country.”
