Hero MotoCorp’s ‘Vida’ EV Showroom Launches In Bengaluru

Hero MotoCorp’s Vida V1 Plus and Pro variants will cost Rs. 1,45,000 and Rs. 1,59,000 respectively.

A month after Hero MotoCorp’s launch of the Vida V1 electric scooter, the automaker has set up shop at Bengaluru’s Vittal Mallya Road, with test-rides of the Vida 1 Plus and Pro variants available on request.

The showroom, located near Honda Bigwing and Audi’s dealerships, sprawls over 8,500 square feet, with V1 models on display alongside charging stations, interactive walls highlighting the brand’s vision, product configurators, and even a coffee bar and library.

At Rs. 1,45,000 and Rs. 1,59,000 respectively, the Vida 1 Plus and Vida 1 Pro variants offer different levels of range and overall performance. The former’s 3.44kWh powerplant claims a range of 143km while the V1 Pro’s 3.94kWh battery offers 165km. While the motors are the same — with the same top speed of 80kph — the V1 Pro does inch closer from 0 to 40kph a hair closer than its more affordable sibling.

Designed and developed at Hero’s R&D hubs – CIT in Jaipur and the Hero Tech Centre, near Munich – the Vida V1 is being manufactured at Hero MotoCorp’s plant at Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh. Hero plans on pushing the platform aggressively to consumers, offering both vehicles with a special ‘Green EMI’ offer with paperless ownership and interest rates at a claimed 1.5-2% lower than current average rates.

Dr Swadesh Srivastava, Head – Emerging Mobility Business Unit (EMBU), Hero MotoCorp: “Expanding our vision to shape the EV category and grow its scale, we are excited to open the first VIDA Experience Center. This Experience Center is a manifestation of our vision to build experiences that create curiosity, meaningfulness and that people connect with.

This center is one of the many physical assets of our omnichannel approach. Our tech-stack and physical assets are built to uplift the customer experience from just entering into a space of retail to a space where they can be part of a larger story. It’s a one-of-its-kind experience that we are providing in the segment.”

Given the pricing, we expect the Vida to compete with the TVS iQube Electric and Bajaj Chetak EV. With two more showrooms planned for Delhi and Jaipur, deliveries for the V1 will begin in the second week of December.
