The big cat returns! After basking in the success of its luxury sedans like the XF and XJ, Jaguar has now launched the all-new XE in India.

The new XE is available in the S and SE variants and comes with a 184 kW Ingenium Turbocharged Petrol powertrain and a 132 kW Ingenium Turbocharged Diesel powertrain option. The new exterior design boasts a bolder and more aggressive stance from the previous generation. The ‘J’ blade DRLs continue and the taillights have been redesigned to look sleeker. The car sits on four 17-inch wheels that get a blackout treatment.

On the inside, the new XE gets a 10-inch ‘Touch Pro’ infotainment screen with Smartphone Pack (Android Auto and Apple CarPlay) as standard. You also get some smart goodies like an AI for the driver, Lane Keep Assist and Driver Condition Monitor, Online Pack (Wi-Fi with Pro Services that adds Real-Time Traffic Information, Door-to-Door routing and Estimated Time of Arrival) and ‘Remote with InControl Remote App’ allows you to check vehicle status like fuel level, window open, etc through your phone.

Rohit Suri, President & Managing Director, Jaguar Land Rover India Ltd (JLRIL), said: “The Jaguar XE has always been a distinctly designed executive sports saloon that provides exhilarating performance. The New Jaguar XE is an illustration of how enhancements in its design, technology and driving dynamics can rewrite the rules. We are confident that our Jaguar fans and discerning customers will be delighted with our latest offering.”

In other news, Jaguar also unveiled the new F-Type worldwide. We still don’t know if the new F-Type will be making its way to India, but we will soon be getting our hands on the new XE, so stay tuned for that.
