Adding to the buzz around World EV day, Stellantis group has announced four all-electric Jeep SUVs scheduled to launch by 2025. While the initial phase only seems to cover the North American and European market, considering the rapid rise in popularity of EVs in India, expect most of them to arrive on our shores too.

Coined as its “4xe lineup,” Jeep unveiled three new electric SUVs and teased the fourth one. While we don’t have any details on the latter, the three offerings that were announced include – the Avenger, Wagoneer S and the Recon.

Jeep Avenger

Starting with the Avenger, which is supposed to be Jeep’s smallest EV offering, is built on the firm’s CMP platform. Details remain scarce for now, though we do know that it’ll pack a range of around 400km and make 96PS of power, depending on the type of variant. The company will also introduce a mild-hybrid variant of the SUV, although it remains to be seen if it’ll come to India.

Regardless, the Avenger seems to be packing the same compact SUV design as the other sub 4m SUVs in India. It gets the same closed-off grille, with an ‘e’ logo at the front, flanked by LED DRLs. The side features a rather sporty look, with pronounced wheel arches. Completing the design at the rear are square-shaped tail lamps, black body cladding and a faux skid plate.

On the inside, the Avenger seems to be packing a five-seat layout with a standalone infotainment system taking the centre stage here.

Jeep Wagoneer S

In stark contrast with the Avenger, the Wagoneer S seems to sport a rather large silhouette with a seven-slat grille at the front, flanked by sleek-looking LED headlamps. The same minimal approach is carried over the sides as well, with flush-fitting door handles and smooth body lines. There’s also a fair bit of chrome thrown around the side and the rear, adding contrast to the overall look.

Jeep claims the range-topping model will deliver a range of 640km. While that may not seem much, the company seems to be focusing on the performance side of things, with the SUV claiming a 0-100kmph sprint time of 3.5 seconds, while producing over 600PS of power. Code-named “Wagoneer S,” it will likely debut at the tail end of 2025, with an initial launch in the US market.

Jeep Recon

Coming to the more interesting offering, the Recon is set to be an off-road friendly version of the Wagoneer S, and will share similar platform and power figures. What will differentiate it though will be its more off-road bits like removable doors, an open-top design, trail-rated capabilities, e-locker axle technology, off-road tyres, traction management system and more.
