The New York Fashion Week has finally begun, showcasing some of the hottest talents from across the globe. This year is extra special for us since we get to see some of the best Indian designers and a bevy of Indian ladies making waves at the NYFW. So here’s you list of women who are pushing boundaries, getting global and rocking it at the New York Fashion Week 2016.

 

 

 

Challenging all beauty stereotypes, Reshma Qureshi, an acid attack survivor, made a global splash by walking the runway of one of the biggest events in the fashion industry. She opened the show in a white embroidered gown by Indian designer Archana Kochhar on the first day of the New York Fashion week.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

 

 

Adding that extra dash of glamour to the event, Sunny Leone became the first Bollywood actress to ever walk the coveted New York Fashion Week. Looking absolutely alluring and radiant in the ensemble created by Archana Kochhar, she definitely stole hearts at this year’s global extravaganza.

Get ready to spot actress Jacqueline Fernandez at the New York Fashion Week this year. Though she is not going to walk the ramp, we will surely get to see her in attendance as the brand ambassador of TRESemme India.

 

 

 

 

 


 

 

 

Making a name for herself with her ahimsa silk range of garments, fashion designer Archana Kochhar showcases her collection for the second time at the NYFW.

 

 

 

 

 


 

 

 

Chasa Institute of Fashion Design and Technology, based in Pune, is going to present at least 15 of its designs on the runway. The show will be choreographed by Lubna Adams and it is set to showcase the importance of handloom in India. Watch out for Amruta Fadnavis, Maharastra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ wife, who will be the showstopper for the show.
