Fashion collaborations have been the talk of the town since last couple years. We have seen many brands collaborating with others to bring out the best for consumers. It was back in 2004, when H&M and Karl Lagerfeld came together and everyone went gaga over the collection. That’s when fashion collaborations started and the trend continued to move forward. A combination of aesthetics and design that brings out best of both worlds is something we look forward to when collaborations are announced.
This year, we saw various brands drop their fusions to bring out the very best. From Louis Vuitton to Uniqlo, here’s what we think are the best of 2020. Take a look at it below.
Billie Eilish x Takashi Murakami
In April, Uniqlo introduced us to the collaboration of Billie Eilish and Takashi Murakami. The aesthetics of both artists got us to this amazing collection. It featured graphic tees, which include imagery from Eilish’s debut album and Blohsh merch, as well as Murakami’s iconic rainbow-colored manga-inspired flowers.
JW Anderson x Uniqlo
This collab was themed around “British Country Style” that saw Anderson rework traditional British patterns on Uniqlo’s LifeWear. It covered menswear, womenswear, and kidswear, which include pullover jackets, coats and patchwork checked shirts.
Louis Vuitton x Nigo
Virgil Abloh and Nigo came up with a capsule collection that features ready-to-wear pieces. The entire collection focuses on both the monogram and damier patterns. An special LV² logo makes an appearance in collection, which draws the designer’s association with streetwear.
Reebok x Pleasures
The Pleasures x Reebok Beatnik gave us the Beatnik slipper. The slipper’s key features include a removable heel strap enabling easy slip-on and clog-style wear along with an all-black canvas upper and rippled rubber outsole.
