Here’s everything you should know about the Gucci Ha Ha Ha collection
After a series of collaborative collections, Gucci has announced its latest creator and it is none other than Harry Styles.
Styles, known for his love for the Italian brand, has now teamed up with creative director Alessandro Michele to create the Gucci Ha Ha Ha collection. The collaborative capsule collection gets its name from Styles and Michele’s first initials.
“He has an incredible sense of fashion. He is obsessed with clothes,” Michele told WWD. “He keeps sketches and an archive. He could easily be a stylist or a designer and is very free, representative of this new generation that is interested in so many things.
This 25-piece collection is heavily inspired by the ‘70s aesthetics and the duo’s personal styles and will include a variety of playful garments such as denim jackets, bowling shirts, colourful vest suits, flared pants, and gingham suits among many others. Michele describes the collaboration as “the look of a lord who morphs into a rock star.”
After the announcement of the collaboration, Michele offered a tiny sneak peek of the collaboration on Instagram. Check it out below.
Speaking of how the idea came about, Michele explains, “The idea of working together came to me one day while [Harry and I] were talking on the phone. I proposed creating a ‘dream wardrobe’ with him, starting from those small oddities that come together in childlike visions. We ended up with a mix of aesthetics from 1970s pop and bohemian to the revision of the image of the gentleman in an overturned memory of men’s tailoring.”
The collection will be in stores in October and was unveiled as part of Milan Men’s Fashion Week.
Harry Styles is currently on tour in Europe for his Love On Tour, which wraps in Portugal on July 31st. He will then bring his tour to North America, playing residency-style dates at venues in Toronto, New York City, Chicago, Austin and Inglewood, Calif.
