Director extraordinaire Karan Johar seems to be in a massive bid to acquire rights to films from down South and remake them in Hindi.
He did this with the hunky Vijay Deverakonda’s Comrade and now has his eyes set on Telugu film, Bheeshma.
The film which released last month starred Rashmika Mandanna and Nithiin in the lead roles and did well at the box office. It also received a favourable response from critics.
Now, according to media reports, Johar has watched the film and liked it and believes there is a potential for a Bollywood remake.
While none of these reports has been confirmed yet, media reports suggest that Ranbir Kapoor may essay the role played by Nithiin.
Johar is also presenting Deverakonda and Ananya Panday’s upcoming untitled Telugu film. The film is being directed by Puri Jagannadh.
