Pavail Gulati impressed everyone with his performance in Taapsee Pannu starrer Thappad, and has now been roped in for Amitabh Bachchan, Rashmika Mandanna and Neena Gupta starrer Goodbye. The actor will essay the role of Bachchan’s son in the film which is centred around a funeral. The film marks Gulati’s second collaboration with Big B. The two have earlier worked in the TV series titled Yudh.

Opening up about working with the megastar, the Thappad actor said, “Goodbye is a very special film for me with my very special friends. Absolutely thrilled and excited to be part of it. What makes it even more special is to get an opportunity to work with a legend like Mr Amitabh Bachchan sir again. It is indeed an amazing feeling.”
“This is my second collaboration with Balaji Telefilms, Ekta and Ruchikaa and I couldn’t be happier about this reunion. Can’t wait to embark on this exciting journey and I’m certain it’s going to be a fun riot shooting with Rashmika and Amitabh sir,” Pavail Gulati added.
Neena Gupta, who will also be marking her first film with Bachchan, had earlier talked about being a part of the film and said, “When Vikas narrated the film to me, I was so happy. It is a wonderful script and one doesn’t think about anything else, when the script is this exciting. Even the role is beautifully written and I am very excited to be sharing the screen space with Mr Bachchan. It is a dream come true for me and I am quite ecstatic about it.”
Goodbye is backed by Good Co Production, Balaji Telefilms and Reliance Entertainment and directed by Vikas Bahl. The film’s mahurat shot took place in Mumbai on April 1 with Mandanna kickstarting the shoot for the film. Bachchan joined the shoot on April 4. The film also marks Bahl’s reunion with Ekta Kapoor, who have previously collaborated on films like Lootera and Udta Punjab.
