Breakups can be messy and downright dirty. There’s a lot of washing of dirty laundry in public and if you’re a celebrity going through a breakup – god help you. If it wasn’t bad enough that you’re probably heartbroken, the media will haunt you with questions about your ex till you die.
A rare instance of exes being friends in the film industry are Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan. Khan turned a year older on Monday and posted a picture on Instagram talking about life and her inspirations.
“Thank you dear Life for giving me the best of chances, the best of grace, the best of guidance, and most importantly the best of humans that surround me with their love. My sunshine ochre birthday dress is from our very own @thelabellife. This birthday I have the most grateful heart for all that the universe has blessed me with,” Khan wrote on Instagram.
“‘All that we are is a result of what we have thought’ -The Buddha. Work with your heart, to give back to the people around you, think with kindness and nothing will stop you from manifesting your path. #kindessisasuperpower #ilovemybirthday #happyheart,” she added.
Roshan was among the first few celebs to comment on the post and wrote “Love it” while also adding the ‘100 emoji’.
This is not the first time the former couple has shown maturity when it comes to handling their breakup. During the early days of the lockdown, Khan had moved in with Roshan to look after their children – Hrehaan and Hridhaan.
Then, of course, there was that infamous incident with Kangana Ranaut. Ranaut had claimed that Roshan and she were in a relationship and during her multiple film promotions, had brought up how she’d like an apology from the actor because he disputes the alleged romance.
Khan had jumped in to support her former husband then and posted a picture on Instagram with the caption: “There is no allegation or a sad evil plot that can have the weight to triumph over a good soul.”
Khan’s post was liked by celebrities such as Twinkle Khanna, Priyanka Chopra, Varun Dhawan, and Ekta Kapoor.
