Disney has officially confirmed that it has a bisexual lead character on “The Owl House” series.
The 14-year-old Dominican-American girl, Luz Noceda, is the first bisexual character to make a Disney debut on a television series. The series follows Noceda’s adventure to becoming a witch, even though she does not have any magical abilities.
Dana Terrace, the creator of the series said in a tweet that at first some leadership at Disney was not too fond of the idea of having an LGBTQ+ character. Terrace herself identifies as bisexual and wanted to write about the character, so she really convinced Disney to make the character happen.
She got a lot of positive feedback from viewers where many of them thanked her for representing the LGBTQ+ community.
