EXCLUSIVE: Yashraj Mukhate On His Ranveer Singh Song 'We Can See His Bum'
Yashraj Mukhate On How He Came Up With ‘We Can See His Bum’ Song

Mukhate says this was the quickest song he has ever come up with

Ever since Ranveer Singh posed naked for a magazine cover, the internet cannot keep calm. In fact, after an FIR was filed against him, the topic even made it to primetime news. The way lawyer Vedika Chaubey said, ‘We can see his bum’ on the show cracked up the host and triggered an avalanche of memes. Soon after, music composer and social media influencer Yashraj Mukhate’s DMs were flooded with requests to give the incident his own spin and he obliged by releasing a song yesterday titled ‘We can see his bum.’

In an exclusive chat with Man’s World India, Mukhate elaborated what went into creating the song. “This is the quickest song I have ever worked on. I saw the video yesterday morning and I had a tune in my head since then. Then later Mallika Dua, Nikhil Chinapa and a few other friends of mine texted me saying that I should take it up. Till 9 PM, I was thinking about what to do. I realised that this is a talking point and everyone around me is watching the video. So at 11.30 PM, I released the video. And just as quickly as I worked on this video, it also garnered numerous views unlike my other songs,” he said.

Whenever Mukhate has worked on a song which includes a celebrity, they have always replied to him. When asked if he expects a reply from Singh, he answered, “He already has. He has sent me a laughing emoji on my personal Instagram messenger with the word Bhai. So yes that is what it is.”

Even though these songs are based on trending social media discussions, Mukhate makes sure that every song is different from the other. He explains, “In my previous videos I have only used the dialogues but here I have used the vocals. I thought that since the main hook line is short, I need to put it on the drop. But I need something before that as well to make the drop more impactful. So I added two random lines from my side so that it builds up before the drop. My plan was that people start listening to it and when the drop comes people realise that this is how I have used it. The music is also kind of romantic which has nothing to do with the context but it sounds good.”

Mukhate is known for his hilarious compositions like Rasode Mein Kaun Tha, Pawri Ho Rahi Hai, Tauda Kutta Tommy and Biggini Shoot which never fail to go viral on the internet.
