As we all know, human beings exist only to serve as slaves for cats. This is a fact based on highly scientific research, principally involving millions of cats getting their owners to do their bidding in a multitude of ways. For example, cats believe it is their divine right to wake up their owners as early as they can, sometimes purely for fun and profit, and developer Will Herring, clearly well versed with this singular phenomenon, has developed a game based on it.
It’s called My Garbage Cat Wakes Me Up At 3AM Every Day, and it’s a simulator that lets you control a dastardly feline who is in its sleeping owner’s room. The aim of the game is simple – get the cat to make as much noise as possible, so that the hapless human wakes up from his slumber at 3AM, his head no doubt full of misery and murderous inclinations. To this end, you make the cat meow loudly and needlessly and also knock over as many things as possible. Why exactly would you play this game? Who gives a shit? Because it’s there, of course – and also because its graphics are a throwback to the days of Atari and Nintendo Game Boy.
