It is not unheard of in the Hindi film industry to hear about plagiarism from the West but Nora Fatehi’s latest video – the female version of ‘Pachtaoge’ – takes the cake. Minutes after the music video dropped on YouTube, netizens were quick to notice that parts of the video are partially lifted from Beyonce’s 2014 video ‘Mine’.

On being quizzed about it, Fatehi stated that she conceptualized the whole video herself but her look is not inspired by Beyonce but Mother Mary, according to the Times of India.

LOL, okay.

She also named Madonna, Billie Eilish, and Zayn Malik and stated that they also referenced their work. Pretty bold of Fatehi to come for Madonna, the Queen of Pop but hey, that’s showbiz.
