Jim Sarbh admits to having a bad temper and being vain in this interview

What is keeping you busy these days, since Padmavati’s delay?

I am waiting for Padmavati to release. It is a great role, a pretty groovy script and gave me the opportunity to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ranveer Singh.

What is your biggest achievement?

I won the best all-rounder in my fourth grade in school and I got a big cup.

Are you someone who holds on to failures?

No, I don’t hold on to achievements either. But a lot depends on the kind of failure I am facing. While I am involved, it is personal, but once it is out of my hands, it becomes instructive.

What is the one skill every man should have?

Flexibility.

What one thing should all men know about women?

Women are a lot simpler than men imagine they are. Men are much more complicated than they think they are.

What is your dominant flaw?

I have a bad temper, I am arrogant, vain, insecure, moody, selfish… what do you mean by “dominant”?

The Joey Conundrum: sex or food?

Sex.

Have you ever woken up the next morning and forgotten your date’s name?

Not the next morning, no, but sometimes during.

What is your favourite place on earth?

Granada, Spain.

A social media abbreviation you don’t know the full form of?

FOH. I saw it a few days ago. Also, SMH. What on earth is it?

What irritates you most about people?

Hypocrisy — and the inability to admit their hypocrisy.

Cats or dogs?

I like both. I used to be a full dog man, but I have been living with a cat. I like her a lot and we get along well.

What is the scariest thing you have ever done?

Once I trekked down from Tapovan, the area above the Gangotri glacier, all by myself, while I was very ill. I had diarrhea, was throwing up continuously and didn’t know the way. I thankfully wound up at a camp a few hours later.

One film you wish you were a part of?

Kaalakaandi looks awesome. Mukkabaaz looks great, too.

Pick three colleagues you are better than as an actor.

No. I will not. It is not for me to say that.

If you could be a historical figure for one day, who would you want to be?

Jacques Cousteau.

Which language or accent do you want to master?

Hindi. I am taking classes, but it is just work right now.

A MESSAGE FROM YOU TO WHOEVER IS READING THIS.

I would want to say “do whatever you like, be free”, but then you should “do whatever you like” as long as you are not harming others. It’s all very complicated. That’s why no one message will be able to sum up a person.
