The duo behind Goa’s Antares – entrepreneur Ashish Dev Kapur and celebrity chef Sarah Todd – has another ace up their sleeve with The Wine Rack. Drop by for a quick lunch, post-work drinks or better still, Friday and Saturday nights, when the place is bustling. The piece de resistance is a 50-metre wine rack that offers over 300 wines from 35 regions across India and the world. While up to 25 of them are sold by the glass, bottles (whisky, gin, rum and more) are available at wholesale prices. Todd’s menu is diverse – a charcuterie platter shares space with beautiful Kolhapuri raan, wrapped in betel leaf. We also love that the wines on the menu are not just segregated by region and grape, but by their Wine Spectator rating too – and cocktails are conveniently split into categories like “sexy and fruity” and “alcohol-driven”.
