Ajay Devgn Opens Up About Directing Amitabh Bachchan In Mayday
Ajay Devgn returns to direction after quite some while. The actor, who last directed films like U Me Aur Hum (2008) and 2016 actioner Shivaay, is now working with Amitabh Bachchan for their upcoming film titled Mayday. Opening up about directing Big B, Devgn called it a delightful experience.
“He is a delight to work with. I’ve never seen a more dedicated actor. We are nothing in front of him. Once he is on set, he will keep rehearsing, keep thinking about the scene. It’s phenomenal,” Devgn revealed during an interview.
The actor went on to add, “I’ve known him since I was a kid. So whatever I had to take away from him, I must’ve taken it back then. It’s imbibed. With him, it’s a different rapport. From childhood, I could tell him whatever I wanted to. It took him two minutes to come on board. One narration and that’s it.”
Ajay Devgn Films, is bankrolling the new project which also stars Rakul Preet Singh and Angira Dhar in key roles. The film went on floors last December and is nearly complete with only five days of shoot remaining.
