When it comes to Bollywood, actor Akshay Kumar has topped the list with a brand value of $118.9 million (Rs. 866 crores approx), reports Bollywood Hungama. According to the entertainment portal, the actor has seen a jump of 13.8%. The third spot is taken by Ranveer Singh at $102.9 million while King Khan comes in at number four with a brand value of $51.1 million.
In the top 10, Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt are the only two female stars. Padukone comes in at number five with a brand value of $50.4 million while Alia Bhatt has raked in around $48 million.
Bollywood’s current poster boy and an actor who has heralded a new brand of cinema in the Hindi film industry, Ayushmann Khurrana comes in at number seven with a brand value of $48 million. Actor Salman Khan is at number eight with $45 million, Amitabh Bachchan is at number nine with $44.2 million and Hrithik Roshan rounds out the list of top 10 celebrities with $39.4 million.
In other Bollywood news, Arjun Rampal has signed a new project which revolves around rape.
The project is titled The Rapist and will also star celebrated actress Konkona Sensharma. This is the second time that Arjun Rampal and Konkona Sensharma will be coming together on-screen post their 2013 independent anthology film Meridian Lines.
