Actor Ali Fazal is set to star alongside Hollywood’s Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot in 20th Century Fox’s upcoming adaption of Agatha Christie’s Death on the Nile and it is to be directed by Kenneth Branagh. 

The story explores the investigation of a series of mysterious events that occur on a cruise ship on the Nile. A murder creates chaos and leads to several people becoming suspects in the crime. Some face their death which deepens the mystery. 

The film is part of the series by 20th Century Fox which earlier saw the much successful film, Murder on the Orient Express taking in major monies at the box office worldwide. The film too boasted of a stellar cast including Penelope Cruz, Johnny Depp, and others. 

Death on the Nile has previously been made in 1978 starring legends including Bette Davis, Maggie Smith, Mia Farrow, and others. 

As reported by India Today, Death on the Nile will go on floors later this month in London and would be shot in several parts of Europe. 

Fazal previously acted in Victoria and Abdul, which starred Judy Dench. 

According to India Today, the actor confirmed the news and said, “Yes, I am part of this wonderful journey and I look forward to being a part of it. My mother and I have always been huge fans of Agatha Christie novels.”
