Kabir Khan And Ranveer Singh have already hit a sixer with their film ‘83 even before its release. The film, which is based on the Indian Cricket Team’s win in 1983 has Singh essaying the role of Kapil Dev. His uncanny portrayal of the Indian skipper has impressed fans who cannot wait to watch the soon-to-be-released film in theatres. The movie isn’t out yet but rumours have it that the duo will be reuniting for another film.
A sequel to ‘83, based on the 2011 World Cup, is supposedly happening. Khan, however, opened up about the possible sequel and said that he is still stuck in 1983 right now. And as far as the 2011 World Cup is concerned, it cannot be a sequel, stating that it is a separate story in itself. He added that he is not thinking about making a film on the subject right now. The director is focused on ’83 and is just waiting for the world to see it.
“As of now I am still stuck in 1983. You know my take on sequels. However, the story of 2011 is not a sequel; it’s a separate story in itself. But, I am not at all thinking about it right now, I am totally focused on 83 and I can’t wait for the world to see it,” he told Bollywood Life.
