Akshay Kumar’s Bachchhan Paandey will release in theatres on March 18. Touted as this year’s blockbuster film, Bachchhan Paandey has been in the news for quite some time now. The posters and the trailer of the movie have managed to grab immense attention of fans. Farhad Samji, best known for Housefull 4, is directing the movie. The cast also features Kriti Sanon, Arshad Warsi, Abhimanyu Singh, and Pankaj Tripathi.

Bachchhan Paandey is the story of gangster who aspires to be an actor, while Kriti Sanon is a journalist who wishes to become a director. 

About working in the movie, Akshay Kumar said, “It’s always a pleasure to collaborate with Sajid Nadiadwala. He and I go back years, we were friends long before we became actor-producer. And one can only imagine what fun it is to work with friends.  Bachchhan Paandey is my 10th film with him and audiences can expect ten times the entertainment with this one.”

Akshay Kumar’s look

One of the eye-catching elements in the film is Akshay Kumar’s character. With a glass eye and rugged clothing, the detail to Kumar’s character is commendable and it’s sure to be a good movie-watching experience for the fans.

Unique combination

Bachchhan Paandey is an action-comedy. Some of the scenes in Bachchan Paandey are just gruesome, with violence being a central theme of the film. At the same point of time, the trailer has some funny scenes with Pankaj Tripathi, Sanjay Mishra, and Arshad Warsi and that promises to keep the fans entertained. In the film, Kumar is seen as an anti-hero and gives a sappy vibe when he quips “he kills for fun”, his character is something that is rarely seen in Indian cinema.

Pankaj Tripathi’s comic timing

Pankaj Tripathi is one of the best actors we have. His comic timing is on point and no matter what role he plays, Similarly, in Bachchhan Paandey, he is at his best.

Recreating Jigarthanda

Bachchhan Paandey is a remake of Siddharth and Bobby Simha’s Jigarthanda. The film had won two National Film Awards for Best Supporting Actor for Bobby Simha and Best Editing for Vivek Harshan.

Stellar cast and songs

With Akshay Kumar in the lead role and Jacqueline Fernandez as his love interest, Bachchan Paandey has some of the most outstanding performers. Arshad Warsi and Kriti Sanon also play key parts in the film. Sanjay Mishra and Pankaj Tripathi’s characters are the icing on the cake, Bachchhan Paandey’s songs – Meri Jaan and Saare Bolo Bewafa have been playing on loop for many fans. 

Apart from this, Akshay has an interesting lineup of films ahead. He will be seen in Prithviraj, Raksha Bandhan, Ram Setu, Cinderella, Gorkha, and Selfiee.
