If cinema is magic, then actors are magicians. Bringing stories and the vision of the filmmakers to life, there’s a lot riding on an actor to this in a convincing way. This could mean long hours on set to learning a new skill, to training in a new language – sometimes we see the hardwork and sometimes it’s all behind the scenes.

One aspect we get to see is how an actor transforms themselves physically for a role. There are a few actors who have trained hard to become the character they are supposed to play and we can only assume the work that went into it.

Here are a few stars who definitely have our attention:

Arjun Mathur – Made in Heaven S2

Arjun Mathur has undergone a massive transformation for his character in Made in Heaven S2. The actor followed an extensive training schedule and a strict diet plan to beef up for his role as Karan Mehra.

Taapsee Pannu – Rashmi Rocket

Ranbir Kapoor – Sanju

Ranbir Kapoor’s transformation for Sanju was epic. The film was a test of the brilliant actor’s dedication as he to had adapt his body based years in Sanjay Dutt’s life. Part of his process inclided eight meals a day, protein shakes and intense workouts.

Vicky Kaushal – URI: The Surgical Strike

URI: The Surgical Strike was one of the biggest hits of 2019. Vicky Kaushal had to look a certain way to play an Army Officer. He gained 15kg and achieved this by following a strict diet regime and with immense training.
