Last year, we got news that Chris Hemsworth has been roped in to portray wrestling legend Hulk Hogan on screen. Since then, Hemsworth has been tight-lipped about the project.
“I know it’s being written now and worked on. I know very little about that. It’s sort of in the process now,” Hemsworth recently told ScreenRant while promoting his new Netflix movie Extraction.
But Hemsworth decided to share his thoughts and opinions on playing Hogan. Hemsworth talked to Total Film magazine about how he will need to hit the gym even harder for the role.
“This movie is going to be a really fun project. As you can imagine, the preparation for the role will be insanely physical. I will have to put on more size than I ever have before, even more than I put on for Thor,” he said.
“And then there is the accent as well as the physicality and the attitude. I will also have to do a deep dive into the rabbit hole of the wrestling world, which I’m really looking forward to doing,” he added.
The film is still yet to move into production as details are still being finalised.
The film will be directed by Todd Phillips, with Hogan acting as both a consultant and executive producer on the project, along with Bradley Cooper on board as a producer.
