After the shoot location got changed from Chandigarh to New Delhi, the makers of Dostana 2 hit a roadblock that could impede the shooting process.

Bollywood Hungama reports that Delhi’s abysmal pollution levels have caused the film’s shooting to be cancelled. “The cast and crew couldn’t breathe. Visibility was so low that the camera couldn’t capture the shots properly. It was a no-win situation. The team decided to disperse until the weather improves,” a source was quoted as saying.

In fact, due to crop burning in areas surrounding Delhi, the national capital’s Air Quality Index (AQI) stayed over 300 which is classified as ‘very poor’. This led to the Arvind Kejriwal government re-implementing the odd-even traffic rule.

Earlier, actress Priyanka Chopra had shared a picture of herself wearing a face mask stating: “Shoot days for The White Tiger. It’s so hard to shoot here right now that I can’t even imagine what it must be like to live here under these conditions. We are blessed with air purifiers and masks. Pray for the homeless. Be safe everyone.”

Looks like air pollution has turned out to be a major hazard for the Bollywood film industry.
