The directors of Netflix’s Lust Stories are back with four mind-bending thrillers which are collectively named Ghost Stories. Directed by Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap, Dibakar Banerjee, and Karan Johar, the show will star Janhvi Kapoor, Sobhita Dhulipala, Gulshan Devaiah and Mrunal Thakur.

Ghost Stories premieres on the 1st of January on Netflix and the trailer has left us panting in anticipation.

In an exclusive interview with us, actress Mrunal Thakur opens up about her role and what to expect from the series.

How did Ghost Stories happen?

I remember I was shooting in Switzerland and I received a call from Atul Kasbekar. he broke the news to me that Ghost Stories was happening and Karan (Johar) would love to meet me for that. I didn’t believe it was happening. For real. It was like a dream come true seriously! As soon as I was back in Bombay, I met Karan to discuss the story and the scenes and the next thing I know I was flying to Goa to shoot the film.
Karan is the best storyteller. Everybody knows that but I was there witnessing it on the sets of Ghost Stories.
The moment I got the hang of the character, it was about time for us to say goodbye. I think shooting with Karan on the sets of Ghost Stories was not enough. I wish I get to work with him yet again

What is your story based on?

My story is about a married couple, a girl who is in love with her husband dealing with a dead grandma. Yes, it sounds a little creepy and you must watch it to find out what the granny does to me!

Will you be doing more shows and films on OTT platforms?

Sure why not! I’m sure you guys must be aware of Bahubali, the Netflix series. The motive is a good script, good character and a reach as much as the audience!

What can we expect from your character in Ghost Stories?

All I want to say is don’t watch this alone.
