Gehraiyaan starring Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday and Dhairya Karwa is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The film explores the different facets of relationships where we get to see Padukone romance Chaturvedi on screen for the first time. Directed by Shakun Batra, the film was anticipated to be an interesting watch.

While some are raving about how good the film is, courtesy of Padukone’s acting (only), others are comparing it to be an upgraded version of Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna. The film is backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, and was scheduled to release in February. However, due to the Covid-19 lockdown, the shoot was delayed and the release date was postponed. Batra’s Gehraiyaan seems to be the first major Indian feature to credit its intimacy coordinator Dar Gai right on the film poster—a serious achievement that drew several compliments online. The movie released on Amazon Prime Video on February 11, 2022.
