A few days ago, it was reported that actress Kristen Stewart of Twilight fame was all set to star in a Pablo Larrain directed movie on the life of Princess Diana. However, before that, the duo is going to team up for a Netflix project titled Homemade.

According to IndieWire, the short film anthology collection will feature 17 short films directed by renowned names like Larrain, Paolo Sorrentino, Ladj Ly, Naomi Kawase, Sebastián Lelio, Ana Lily Amirpour, Kristen Stewart, and Maggie Gyllenhaal.

While the details regarding the anthology collection are still hush-hush, each film was made by the directors using tools that they had at their disposal during this period of self-isolation brought about by the coronavirus pandemic.

Larrain used the Zoom app to create his short which is a conversation-based movie. “It will surprise the whole world,” Larrain told Variety regarding Gyllenhall’s project, adding: “All shorts have something [special] but Maggie’s is very particular.”

“For once in our careers, this wasn’t about money, agencies, lawyers or the Hollywood structure,” Juan de Dios Larrain said about Homemade in a statement. “This was a simple idea of [conveying] one message in five to seven minutes, and the idea was to give that message without any pressure; it was totally open. We asked only for [each film’s] rating to be general, and not only for older audiences.”
