Kim Kardashian To Keep The $60 Million Mansion Post Divorce
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s divorce is getting real day by day. While Kardashian and West have not spoken about the separation, various sources close to the couple have been sharing the details of the split. Kardashian and West officially filed for divorce in February, and have been in talks about the settlement of their assets that they shared in this seven-year-long marriage. Sources now reveal that the business mogul will be keeping the swanky LA mansion post their divorce.
Kardashian does not want her kids — North, Chicago, Saint, Psalm — to move from the home they are growing up in, and will possibly be taking the mansion, while West has been juggling between L.A. and his ranch in Wyoming. A source told PEOPLE magazine, “Kim plans on staying at the Hidden Hills house with the kids. This is their home, and Kim doesn’t want to move right now at least. Kanye lives elsewhere, but is happy that Kim is staying at the family house. They both agree that the less stress the kids experience, the better. Kanye loves his kids. He wants them to be happy. He doesn’t want to fight with Kim about anything.”
The former couple acquired the headline-grabbing estate for a hefty amount of $20 million in 2014, and got it remodelled from top to bottom. West worked with Belgian architect Axel Vervoordt to create the panoramic living space. The family finally moved into the property in December 2017. Kardashian’s mother, Kris Jenner, had revealed in 2018 that the house was worth $60 million after the refurbishment.
The estate is located in a private, celebrity-preferred community. It boasts 3.5 acres of land outside the mansion and two swimming pools, two spas, and it’s very own vineyard. The family also owned a Bel-Air mansion that they sold for $18 million in 2017 before ever moving into it.
