Kareena Kapoor Khan Sets Her Eyes On Radio With ‘What Women Want’

Kareena Kapoor Khan recently launched her own radio show called What Women Want.

Following in the footsteps of Bollywood’s godfather and bestie, Karan Johar, Kareena Kapoor Khan recently launched her own radio show called What Women Want.

“I couldn’t have asked for a better start on this platform. I am doing my first radio show and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it,” Khan told Mumbai Mirror regarding her FM debut. According to media reports, her first recorded show will feature Sunny Leone.

Khan also gave an interview to Anupama Chopra on Film Companion and answered multiple questions about the show. On being asked how she felt helming a show called What Women Want regarding her problematic comments in the past on feminism, the actress answered that her words were taken out of context and misconstrued as she had a problem with the way feminism is portrayed in certain circles and not feminism as a whole.

She also went on to say that she has always lived her life on her own terms and even post marriage, has gone on to work and hence, her actions are clearly feminist.

Watch the interview below:

There were also questions on how a privileged, glamorous and rich woman like her would be able to relate to the masses and the actress responded that she acknowledges the fact that she’s privileged but that doesn’t mean she can’t relate to issues that women face. She also explained her stance on social media and wondered whether a reason why people think she is unrelatable is because she doesn’t share her life on it.
