From Suhana Khan To Ibrahim Ali Khan, 5 Gen Z Star Kids We Want To See On Koffee With Karan
Karan Johar, who hosts Koffee With Karan, hinted at the possibility of a new season on an Instagram Live
Koffee With Karan is a show that gets people excited to watch Karan Johar indulge in saucy, tell-all conversations with Bollywood stars. The filmmaker invites celebs to his infamous couch, and he pushes them to spill the beans on their lives with the hope of juicing out some scandalous info and gossip. From Alia Bhatt to KL Rahul, many stars have even been dragged into controversies because of the show. Now, for those who find this kind of stuff thrilling, the good news is that Koffee With Karan may be returning.
KJo hinted at the release of the next season during an Instagram live. The filmmaker said, “I am not authorised to say anything on Koffee with Karan. But good news coming up really soon from that department.” Speculations were rife on social media with fans discussing who the next guests would on the show. While many hoped to see the newly wedded Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal on the couch, other speculated he would invite aspiring star kids.
Well, we are leaning towards the second option, and here’s who we think should definitely get on the couch.
Shanaya Kapoor will make her big-screen debut in Shashank Khaitan’s upcoming directorial Bedhadak, alongside Gurfateh Pirzada and Lakshya Lalwani. She has previously worked as an assistant director on Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, and has a strong fan following on social media. The young Kapoor should definitely be on the couch considering that being on KWK seems like a rite of passage for the family.
Ibrahim Ali Khan
Saif Ali Khan’s son, Ibrahim Ali Khan will be seen on the big screen soon. He is rumoured to be a part of Zoya Akhtar’s Archie film. While his parents and sister are big names in the industry already, it will get his perspective on things.
Navya Naveli Nanda
Amitabh Bachchan’s granddaughter may never step into the film world but she is quite popular in her own right. Her social work is beyond commendable. While many would like to see her in films, Naveli Nanda has chosen a different path for herself. Getting on the KWK couch will be a great platform for this young entrepreneur.
She needs no introduction as Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter has built herself a solid fan following. Every little thing she does becomes big news on social media. She will also be reportedly making her debut with Zoya Akhtar’s film and seeing her on the couch would surely be interesting.
Another Kapoor who could probably make it to the couch is Khushi. She has been an idol for many young kids when it comes to fashion. She is also rumoured to be a part of the film that Ibrahim Ali Khan and Suhana Khan are a part of. Like her sister, Jhanvi Kapoor, Khushi’s sassy attitude should be on good display when tackling KJo’s gossipy questions.
Last year, however, rumours suggested that KWK might be cancelled. The controversies had pushed makers take this decision. A source had said, “With the ongoing controversy around, the channel has decided to not shoot the sixth season anytime soon. They have expressed their concerns and are aware that the new season if begun, will face a lot of ire from the audience and on social media.”
“While the Coronavirus outbreak has also played spoilsport, several leading actors have also decided to not shoot for the show, because they don’t want to add more fuel to the fire. Now, Star has to take a call on whether they want to discontinue the show completely henceforth,” the source had added.
