The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) currently has some of Hollywood’s biggest names associated with it, including Oscar-nominees like Robert Downey Jr, Samuel L. Jackson, along with Oscar-winner Brie Larson. If the rumours are true, then the studio might add another Oscar-winner to the their roster very soon. According to a report by We Got This Covered, Leonardo DiCaprio is currently in active discussions with Marvel Studios about an unspecified MCU role.

But expectations of Leonardo DiCaprio playing a Marvel character on screen should be kept at a minimum, since almost every Hollywood biggie has discussed a role with Marvel Studios, and it hasn’t always panned out.

DiCaprio has been vocal about his reluctance from doing superhero action films in the past. In an interview with ShortList, DiCaprio said he simply hasn’t found the right project.

“You never know. They’re getting better and better as far as complex characters in these movies. I haven’t yet. But no, I don’t rule out anything,” he said.

In other Marvel news, Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo has revealed he is somewhat skeptical about his place in the MCU. In an interview with Variety, the actor revealed that he feels he’s a part of an elite club and that they’ll realise he doesn’t belong there and kick him out. “Yeah. Every time I’m whining like, ‘God damn, how long are we waiting for the set up?’ I’m like, ‘Hey, remember you’re not even supposed to be here,’” said Ruffalo.

He added, “Right. I just remember to be grateful because I still can’t believe it. I still keep thinking, ‘They’re going to throw me out of the club. I never belonged here in the first place and they’re all going to find out.’”
