Karan Johar knows how to draw the audience into the theatres, and he will effortlessly do that again with Liger. The Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday starrer is everything people have been talking about. After a long wait, the film’s trailer has finally been unveiled by the makers. Giving fans a glimpse into Deverakonda and Panday’s new world, the makers have made the trailer worth the wait. 

The trailer introduced the handsome hunk as a kickboxer who has a speech impairment. Deverakonda’s character is seen getting involved in multiple gangster fights while also finding himself in the ring. Panday essays his love interest who breaks his heart. He then trains to become an MMA fighter. Ramya Krishnan plays his mother in the film and the highlight of the trailer comes in the form of boxing legend Mike Tyson delivering a powerful dialogue.

The action drama has been on the watchlist of fans ever since it was announced. People were excited to see what Deverakonda had to offer and from what we can see, everyone is pretty impressed. People talked about the trailer online with many stating that it was a goosebump experience for them. People could not get enough of the actor and even discussed his scintillating chemistry with Panday in the trailer.

The first song from the film, titled Akdi Pakdi was released a few weeks ago. It has the leading duo performing the ‘Liger step’ in a starry video. Composed by Lijo George, DJ Chetas and Sunil Kashyap, with lyrics by Mohsin Shaikh and Azeem Dayani, ‘Akdi Pakdi’ has been sung by Dev Negi, Pawni Pandey and Lijo George.

Liger  also features Ronit Roy, Vishu Reddy and Makarand Deshpande in key roles. The film is produced by Dharma Productions, and directed and written by Puri Jagannadh. The film is set for release on August 25.
