Made in Heaven 2: Dia Mirza, Radhika Apte Roped In For Zoya Akhtar’s Show
Amazon Prime Video’s show, Made In Heaven, was a huge hit amongst the audience. The makers of the show are now working on the second season of the show with lead stars Arjun Mathur and Sobhita Dhulipala. The latest development about the show suggests that stars like Dia Mirza, Radhika Apte and other actresses have been roped in to essay the roles of the brides in Made In Heaven 2.
Apart from Mirza and Apte, Jacqueline Fernandez, Mrunal Thakur, Neelam Kothari will also essay key roles in the story. According to reports in Pinkvilla, some of the actresses have already kickstarted the shoot, while the schedule for other stars is being charted out now.
A source close to the development told the online media portal, “As of now, the makers have roped in Jacqueline Fernandez, Mrunal Thakur, Neelam Kothari and Radhika Apte. They will all feature in one episode each. While some have already begun shooting for the show, others start in the next two months. Schedules are being worked around at present.”
Dhulipala took to Twitter back in February this year to share a note from the producers of the show as she kickstarted the shoot for season 2. The note from Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti read, “We are excited to have you on the ‘Made in Heaven’ team and are looking forward to starting this incredible journey with you!”
The first season of the show starred Dhulipala, Mathur, Deepti Nazal, Shweta Tripathi, Pulkit Samrat, Manjot Singh, Neena Gupta, Amrita Puri, Shivani Raghuvanshi, Kalki Koechlin and others in pivotal roles. The Amazon Prime Video Show was helmed by Nitya Mehra, Zoya Akhtar, Prashant Nair, Alankrita Shrivastava and the show was a creation of Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar.
The show chronicles the story of a wedding planning company and the problems they face as they go around organising grand weddings whilst also dealing with the issues in their personal lives. Made In Heaven 2 will premier in the second half of the year 2022.
