Billie Eilish has announced a new photo book and companion audiobook, titled Billie Eilish. The book will feature “hundreds of never-seen-before photos” from her childhood and her career to date. It is believed to be a visual journey of the Bad Guy singer’s life. The book will be released by Grand Central Publishing in the United States and Wren & Rook in the United Kingdom on May 11. The audiobook will be released on the same day, and it will include “never-before-told stories and recollections from her personal life and career, from the early years to her breakout success,” according to a press release.
In a statement, Eilish described her book. “I spent many hours over many months pouring through my family albums and archives, handpicking all of the photos in this book. I hope you love it as much as I do,” she said.
A documentary on the singer titled The World’s A Little Blurry, will track Billie Eilish’s ultimate rise to fame, is also set to release next month. Director R.J. Cutler told Entertainment Weekly in an interview that the documentary pretty much resembles The Office. Billie Eilish is known for being a huge fan of the Steve Carell and John Krasinski starrer mockumentary, and she has geeked out about the show many times.
The Apple TV+ documentary consists of music that Billie and her brother Finneas made together. “The viewers are dropped into this world, and you go on this journey with Billie,” Cutler explains. “There’s nothing between you and the subject. You’re in the rooms, you’re in the cars, you’re on the planes, you’re everywhere she is. You’re on stage and nobody is analyzing it for you. You’re having your own unique experience. And I knew from the beginning, I would want to do that.”
Eilish’s breakout debut WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? was released in 2019. Her most recent song “Therefore I Am” arrived with a self-directed music video in November.
