Renowned cinematographer PC Sreeram announced on Twitter that he had opted out of a film after finding out that actress Kangana Ranaut was the leading lady in it.
“Had to reject a film as it had Kangana Ranaut as the lead. Deep down I felt uneasy and explained my stand to the makers and they were understanding. Some times its only abt what feels right. Wishing them all the best (sic),” he tweeted but did not mention the name of the project.
“I missed the opportunity to work with a legend like you sir, it’s entirely my loss, I don’t know what exactly made you uneasy about me but I am glad you took the right call, wish you all the best,” Ranaut replied to the national-award-winning cinematographer.

Ranaut has made innumerable provocative statements in recent months following the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput on June 14 in Mumbai. Without evidence, the actress had claimed that Rajput was murdered and spoken out about the “movie mafia” and how nepotism destroys the lives of outsiders in the industry.
On Monday, the actress also compared Mumbai to “Pakistan-occupied Kashmir” and was subsequently given Y-Plus security after she claimed that she feared for life in the maximum city.
