If reports are to be believed, both Atlee and Khan have been in talks with Nayanthara to get her on board for the film. while they have been trying to pursue the actress for quite some time, it is being said that there has been some development in the situation and the South Indian actress has given a nod to the role.

As per reports in Pinkvilla, Nayanthara has been locked as the female lead opposite Khan. A source close to the development told the online news portal, “Both Atlee and Shah Rukh Khan have been in conversation with Nayanthara for a while now and things have finally fallen in place. The actress has come on board the action thriller and the paperwork too has been done.”

“It’s a proper Pan-India film, and the makers are leaving no stone unturned to get the biggest names from all industries on board the film. It’s an out and out commercial film and everyone is excited to see SRK in this space after a long time,” the source added. The source went on to reveal that the pre-production work of the Atlee directorial has begun in full force.

The source added, “The location scout, look test, casting and other aspects have already begun,” informed the source. The Atlee directorial features Shah Rukh Khan in a double role, however, Nayanthara’s character details have been kept under wraps for now. “It’s a well sketched out female lead and that’s something that drew Nayanthara to the film.”

If these reports are true, the film will mark Nayanthara’s third collaboration with Atlee. She has worked with him in Raja Rani and Bigil. The film will mark her Hindi film debut and her first collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan as well.
