Netflix will officially be venturing into the world of gaming this month, with three new mobile games, including a first-person shooter (FPS). Subscribers will be able to access the game without any additional cost on both iOS and Android platforms. Although, it is currently unclear if Netflix India will be bringing them here.

The streaming platform has confirmed that the games will be bundled in with your subscription, and will be free of any ads or in-app purchases. Both Android and iOS users will see a dedicated games row on their app, through which they can download any game of their choosing.

Speaking of which, two of which: This Is A True Story and Shatter Remastered are available for download right now for users in the United States. While Into The Dead 2: Unleashed the zombie first-person shooter will be available later this year. That said, let’s take a closer look at Netflix’s offerings:

This Is A True Story

Made in collaboration with Charity: Water, a nonprofit organization, This Is A True Story is a puzzle-based role-playing game about Sub-Saharan African women’s daily struggle for water. As per Netflix, The Charity: Water team travelled extensively through the Sub-Saharan African countries and conducted several interviews to make the gameplay authentic.

Shatter Remastered

This retro-inspired, brick-breaking game is an updated version of Shatter that came out in 2009 on Play Station 3. It’ll feature over dozen different levels packed with boss battles, power upgrades and more! There’s also a global leaderboard you can follow to keep a track of your score, against some of the best players in the world.

Into The Dead 2: Unleashed

A sequel to Into The Dead which came out in 2012, is Netflix’s take on a zombie-apocalypse shoot-’em up. As per the company’s description, armed players will need to fight the ever-increasing zombie threats while crossing treacherous terrain. It’ll feature over a dozen maps, chapters and challenges.
