The last episode of the controversial Hulu series, Pam And Tommy was telecast recently. Starring Sebastian Stan and Lily James, the limited series revolves around Pamela Anderson and her ex-husband Tommy Lee’s relationship, and their infamous sex tape. In the season finale, they find themselves sitting before a young, snickering businessman named Seth Warshavsky, who offers to buy the rights of the highly personal tape from them. But did they actually sell the right? Lets find out.

In the show, while Tommy disses the idea, Pamela seems to consider the deal. The show did dramatize the real situation for entertainment purposes, but it did make us wonder if Pam and Tommy actually signed over the rights to their tape, and if so, what did they get for it?

Well, the couple did land a deal with Seth Warshavsky’s Internet Entertainment Group (IEG). With all the legal battles and lawsuits against publications like Penthouse, Anderson thought this was the right thing to do. The duo assumed that giving their authorisation to stream the tape online would stop it from being sold in stores. However, that was not the case. In addition to being streamed online, the video was also available in stores as physical VHS, CD-ROM, and DVD copies.

And the situation just got worse. While in the book, Tommyland, Anthony revealed that Warshavsky initially offered them a payment of $250,000 for signing over the rights of the tape, but they never got the money. After the couple found out that the tape was still available in stores, they were awarded $740,000 each by the court. However, IEG had become largely extinct by then, and Warshavsky had flown away to Bangkok, without making the payment.

Considered one of the most famous relationships in Hollywood, the Baywatch star and Mötley Crüe drummer decided to marry less than a week after meeting each other in 1995. Nick Offerman, Taylor Schilling, Andrew Dice Clay, Pepi Sonuga, Spencer Granese, and Mozhan Marnò also star in the show. Seth Rogen plays Rand Gauthier, the guy who stole and sold the tape.
