Prabhas has had a busy year so far, all thanks to the pending projects that he had signed before the pandemic. Amongst the many films that he is a part of, Radha Krishna Kumar’s Radhe Shyam has been the longest project the actor has worked on. After three years of hectic schedules, the film has finally wrapped up its shooting.
The work on Radhe Shyam has kickstarted in 2018. However, due to heavy VFX work, construction of sets and the pandemic-induced lockdowns, the filming faced delays after delays in wrapping up the shoot. The makers are now expected to announce a new release date soon.
Director for Radhe Shyam, Kumar, took to Twitter to share the happy news with the fans. “All done with the last schedule of #RadheShyam … I spread my love to all our darling fans!! This pandemic had taken a toll on all our expectations!! An update is on the way,” he tweeted.

The makers of Prabhas starrer Radhe Shyam also recently donated all the property that made up a hospital setting for the film, to a Hyderabad Covid-19 hospital. The donation included fifty custom beds, stretchers, PPE suits, medical equipment stands and oxygen cylinders. Ravinder Reddy, Radhe Shyam’s production designer, told Deccan Chronicle, “These beds have been custom designed; they are big, strong and are patient-friendly. They have all the comforts that a bed-ridden patient can leverage.”
“When the CEO said that there were no beds available, and that they were having difficulty in procuring, I realised the acute shortage and the gravity of the issue. Soon, I asked my filmmakers if we could contribute our hospital set, which we built for the film, for the Covid-19 patients. They immediately agreed,” he further added. Reddy also added that the team of the film including Prabhas were very happy about this decision.
Radhe Shyam is a romantic drama that also stars Pooja Hegde in a key role. The film has been shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi. Apart from this, Prabhas also has Adipurush and Salaar in his kitty. The actor will also be collaborating with Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan in Nag Ashwin’s next.
