Rajinikanth fans going a little extra isn’t surprising. Whenever their “God” has a new movie releasing, they flood the streets, make 60 foot tall posters, pour milk over them, hold prayers in temples, etc. etc. And this time was no different.

The Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 hits theater screens today and fans have naturally been celebrating its release. Rajini devotees started off by bursting crackers as early as 3:30 am and then heading to their nearest multiplex to catch the first show of the day which starts at 4 am in the morning.

The film in most cinema halls is paused for about 5 minutes at the entrance scene of Rajinikanth, so that fans can celebrate and dance in front of the screen. Take a look:

Fans in Mumbai are not far behind on the celebrations. According to a report by Mid-Day, the superstar’s Mumbai fan club, the Maharashtra State Head Rajini Fans Welfare Association (MSHRFWA), has planned for celebrations at a temple from early morning at 4 am on Thursday.
