YRF’s espionage drama, Pathan, will see Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan coming together, reports India.com.
Actor Shah Rukh Khan will play the role of a RAW agent in the film. According to media reports, this is just the first step in producer Aditya Chopra’s grand plan to kick-off a crossover franchise which will also feature Hrithik Roshan’s hit film, War, in the coming years.
Midday reports that Salman Khan has a 15-minute appearance in the Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer, Pathan. The film also stars John Abraham. Salman Khan will be reprising the role of Avinash Singh Rathore aka Tiger for the film and both the stars will be carrying forward the film under the guise of undercover RAW agents.
“It is Aditya Chopra‘s vision to build an espionage thriller franchise with some of India’s biggest stars as RAW agents. While Salman and Hrithik Roshan have already begun their acts with the Tiger films and War (2019) respectively, director Siddharth Anand’s latest venture introduces SRK in the universe. Adi Sir wants to begin the crossover with Pathan, and has designed a thrilling set-piece that we’ll see,” a source told Midday.
Both the Khans will reportedly be shooting their scene in Dubai where they will begin shooting in January 2021 for around 10 days. Following this, Khan will begin shooting for the third film in the Tiger franchise.
