Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan have been in the film industry for eons but to date, the only time they have shared space on screen has been in 1993 – Pehla Nasha directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. Now, 27 years later, SRK, Aamir Khan, and Salman Khan are supposedly coming together for Aamir Khan’s film, Laal Singh Chaddha.

According to Mumbai Mirror, SRK’s cameo in the film will see him revisiting his iconic character Raj Malhotra from DDLJ.

“The screenplay weaves in iconic moments from each decade and since we love our matinee idols, Chaddha’s journey would be incomplete without certain top stars. So, during this journey of self-discovery, Aamir lands on the sets to meet Shah Rukh around the release of DDLJ and sharing his personal experiences, engages with the wonder world,” a source told Mirror.

That’s not all, however. Aamir Khan is also in talks with Salman Khan for a cameo in Laal Singh Chaddha. “His Prem wooed the audience in the ’90s, from Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hai Koun! to Hum Saath Saath Hain and Aamir is keen to get Salman back as Prem in his social dramedy. There’s a track set in 1989 that depicts a change in audience taste, from action to romance and the craze around Salman. They are expected to finalise the details soon,” the source added.

The iconic Kareena Kapoor Khan will be playing the leading lady in Laal Singh Chaddha.
